MBFW Day 5: Sensuality and Sensibility. Mining the Earth.

HEAD’S UP: It's Fashion Week, baby! Who's ready? We're ready! And we have a slight tweak to share. Of course, we still endeavor to provide a roundup of the best, worst and most interesting Yours Truly&Co. witnesses, from trends to sightings to the rather unusual/bizarre. The tweak has been inspired by Twitter. The coverage will focus, as has become the custom, on what truly inspires or what is so painfully hideous that it is remarkable. However, we will tell that story in 50 words or less. Yes, 50. Or less. Ready? Let the games begin ...

3.1 Phillip Lim

FRESH off of his collaboration with Target, Phillip Lim takes his 3.1 eponymous line to the geological depths. Interesting discoveries, particularly the metallic skirts. Others (the whites) didn't seem so earthen, but that probably wasn't the designer's intention. After all, these nuggets are for the marketplace. (See video above). - YOURS TRULY

The air is redolent of love (Libertine) and lust (Falguni and Shane Peacock). Meanwhile, these guys (Concept Korea) mean business and that's a good thing. Elsewhere, some striking discoveries are made (3.1 Phillip Lim).

LOVE. Yes, Yes, Yes! (or Oui, Oui, Oui!) Color. Bling. Humor. Swing. This is style I'll wrap myself in. Fashion that speaks to the girl in me, who just loves pretty things that are so necessary. LEE Suk Tae and Park Young Soo, two of the four designers showing under Concept Korea, are names to remember. Both hit the bull's eye with their visions. The former the style of boys and girls around the global village; the latter structural avant-garde overlaid with chicness and elegance. - YOURS TRULY
